On Wednesday 29th March I am running a workshop at the Royal Geographical Society to explore the uses of GIS to support the data skills requirements and personal investigation of the Geography curriculum.

This provides full ArcGIS functionality and 50 free credits a month. Could be useful for your students to have their own accounts for personal investigations.

Survey 123

Survey 123 is one way students can create forms to enter data within their GIS maps. This can all be done within a web browser. It creates a feature service (layer) within your account which can be added to any map. Data can also be added directly within the map. You can share any forms you have made here https://padlet.com/Raphael_Heath/GDSTGIS

Have a go at entering data using this form: https://goo.gl/XhEzC2 (note enter name and a new number for the site name. Leave out the next two questions. Make up a fear of crime and noise level (with worse being closer to the town centre) and leave the calculation, and place it on the map near a place with a building- not outside of Bath).

Then look at the data within ArcGIS online http://arcg.is/1auzuj
